    Cubs vs Brewers Analysis

Chicago and Milwaukee have seen a lot of each recent, splitting a four-game set just over a week ago in Chicago and now this three game-set. On the season, these NL Central rivals have played 11 times with Milwaukee winning seven of those and have had an average of 9.64 runs per game over that span.

David Peterson made his Cubs debut against the Brewers back on June 27 after being traded from the Mets, giving up two earned runs on five hits over 5.2 innings in an 8-2 victory. It was a different story in his last start, also against the Brewers, in which he was racked for six runs on 7 hits across 3.2 innings in a 9-5 loss. Both outings he did serve up a home run, both times against Jackson Chourio who’s odds to hit a homer again tonight are +550 at Fanatics, with the average odds being +449.

Meanwhile, our futures page shows that Jacob Misiorowski is the heavy favorite to win the NL Cy Young award, with his best odds remaining come from Kalshi at -404 which is quite low compared to the -700 line at DraftKings. The 24-year-old was on the other side of the 9-5 victory on September 2, but it wasn’t pretty for him, surrendering five runs on five hits with four walks in four innings pitched. His other two outings vs the Cubbies were much better throwing a combined 12 innings with one run scored in five hits while striking out 16.

Those five earned runs from Misiorowski last week were a season high, topping his previous high of three which happened four times previously in the season. A remarkable season he has put together with 17 quality starts across his 26 trips to the mound, you know he’s going to want to put that last outing behind him in a big way tonight.

    Smart Money Tool

At the time of this writing, according to our Smart Money Tool, there is a good level of liquidity for the totals market for this game notably at Prophet X where there is $10,105 available on the OVER 7.5 at +108 odds indicating there’s upwards of $5,000 on the UNDER. I like the UNDER play in this one, anytime that you have sharps looking in that direction with Misiorowski on the bump you have to consider it.
