Rams vs Broncos Week 3 Analysis
Los Angeles will be buoyed by their huge win over the Giants, and look to keep the momentum rolling in Week 3. Historically, the Rams have dominated the Broncos, albeit with far different personnel, but LA are 7-3 SU in their last 10 against Denver, dating back to 1988.
Sean McVay’s squad looked much more like the Super Bowl favorite we expected to see in Week 2. Stafford and Davante Adams demolished the Giants secondary and the Rams outgainede the Giants 439 to 147.
However, Denver presents a much different challenge. Sean Payton’s squad posted a 20-13 home victory over Jacksonville last week in which they scored 17 unanswered points to close out the game. Denver piled up 154 fourth quarter yards and began to look like the team that reached last year’s AFC Championship Game.
New arrival Jaylen Waddle got going and caught eight passes for 138 yards after being limited to just one reception in the opener. Waddle was brought in to change the ceiling of Denver’s passing attack. While Courtland Sutton is a reliable possession receiver, Waddle gives the Broncos a true gamebreaker who can destroy defensive concepts with his outstanding speed. You can find Waddle OVER 58.5 receiving yards at -110 over at Circa.
LA’s menacing defensive front, which now also includes Aaron Donald means Denver’s offensive line will have its hands full. Having said that, the Broncos finished last year first in ESPN’s pass-block win rate, and sit fourth so far this season. The Broncos won’t be afraid of the Rams front, and will move the football against LA.
If the Broncos can avoid a slow start, this game should remain competitive into the fourth quarter, as the 2.5-point spread attests. Having said that, the Rams clearly have the more explosive offense and the better quarterback.
Rams vs Broncos +EV Opportunities Week 3

My favorite +EV play for Broncos vs Rams is Bo Nix OVER 224.5 passing yards at BetRivers.
Nix threw for just 188 yards in Week 1, but followed that up with 288 yards against the Jaguars at home last week. Denver’s offense looked much more more explosive, and Nix looked far more like the quarterback who threw for over 3,900 yards last season. He also gets the advantage of taking on the Rams defense at altitude once again on Sunday night.
The Rams zone-heavy defensive approach should also lead to passing volume. LA is happy to prevent the deep-ball and concede shorter throws underneath, something that Davis Webb and Sean Payton are sure to exploit. Waddle, Evan Engram and the Broncos running backs give Nix multiple options capable of finding space and creating yards after the catch.
We’re also likely to get a favorable game script. The Rams are road favorite and just scored 28 points without Puka. If Stafford and Davante pick up where they left off on Monday night, Denver will be forced to throw the football to keep up.
