The Dodgers have been the betting favorites all season as a result of being the reigning champions, landing Kyle Tucker in the offseason, and trading for the back-to-back reigning AL Cy Young winner, Tarik Skubal. Being a public team and touted as the foregone winners this season, there’s not a lot of value remaining on them, with only BetOnline and FanDuel offering lines longer than our estimated fair odds.
While the Dodgers aren’t the No. 1 team in MLB or even in the NL (2-games back of the Brewers), they weren’t last year either, finishing four-games back of the Brewers and three back of the Phillies but that didn’t matter come Game 7 of the World Series against the Jays.
