World Series Odds & +EV: Braves Have A +22.1% EV Opportunity
We’re headed down the stretch on our way to the Fall Classic just a few weeks away and as it stands, the Los Angeles Dodgers are favored to win the World Series with the best odds coming at Polymarket (+219) which is narrow +1.6 EV play compared to our fair odds line of +214.

Get StartedThe Dodgers have been the betting favorites all season as a result of being the reigning champions, landing Kyle Tucker in the offseason, and trading for the back-to-back reigning AL Cy Young winner, Tarik Skubal. Being a public team and touted as the foregone winners this season, there’s not a lot of value remaining on them, with only one sportsbook (Polymarket) offering better than our fair odds (+214) and only a +1.6 EV opportunity.
While the Dodgers aren’t the No. 1 team in MLB or even in the NL (3.5-games back of the Brewers), they weren’t last year either, finishing four-games back of the Brewers and three back of the Phillies but that didn’t matter come Game 7 of the World Series against the Jays.
Best +EV World Series Opportunities
Although the Dodgers value its relatively non-existent, that isn’t the case for other teams as we move down the oddsboard and you don’t have to go far to see the Brewers have a +19.5 EV opportunity at BetMGM and DraftKings with +750 odds in comparison to our fair line of +611. Most sportsbooks have the Brew Crew between +600 and +650 and some even in the +500’s so the +750 opportunity really stands out.
Milwaukee currently sits in first place in all of MLB, 3.5 games up on Tampa Bay, Atlanta and Los Angeles. It also has the best run differential at +171, the likely NL Cy Young winner in Jacob Misiorowski (-444 best odds at Polymarket) and have the third-best team batting average at .256. This line is only to drop in the coming days so at +750 to get perhaps the top regular-season team in baseball is great value.
Atlanta Braves +22.1% EV
The team I’m keeping my eye on and is offering the best +EV in the top five is the Atlanta Braves. At the time of this writing our futures page has fair odds of +1129 for the Braves and BetOnline is offering +1400 odds, a +22.1% EV opportunity. This rotation makes me feel like it’s the 90’s all over again – yes I’m old, but not REALLY old. Sure Sale, Holmes, Perez doesn’t have the same ring as Maddux, Glavine and Smoltz, you have to respect a team in the playoffs that has the third best ERA led by veteran, former-Cy Young winner Chris Sale at 37 years old sporting a dazzling 2.06 ER (3rd in MLB).
Offensively, Atlanta is dangerous throughout the lineup with four players with over 20 home runs, including Matt Olson’s 37 which lead the team and are the third most in the Bigs. But they’re not just a long-ball team, as over half of their starting line is batting over .250 which is rare nowadays. This team should take the NL East and will have to get past a Milwaukee or LA Dodgers to get a chance to cash in but the +22.1% EV is hard to pass on this late in the season.
