Have a futures bet that you’re confident is going to hit but you want to maximize your return? Our futures page compiles futures odds across 35+ sportsbooks, updated every second, so you can quickly scan which sportsbook has the best odds for the particular futures bet you’re looking to play. This futures odds screen is easy to use and makes your life easier as you don’t have to manually check out every sports betting app to find the best line.
Line shopping is crucial for positive EV betting, it’s essential at its core, and futures betting is no different and perhaps even more apparent. You may be familiar with line shopping for a game-level sports bet such as I can bet the Dallas Cowboys to win a game at -200 at one sportsbook and -180 at another, obviously the -180 is your better option with a potential return of $55.56 compared to the $50 potential return at -200 on $100 wagers.
For futures betting, oftentimes the odds are all plus-money and have large variations. Sportsbook A may have the LA Rams to win the Super Bowl with +500 odds while Sportsbook B has that same market but with +800 odds. This means, if you were to wager $100 at Sportsbook A your potential return would be $600, your $100 stake plus $500 profit, whereas Sportsbook B’s potential return would be $900, your initial $100 plus $800 profit.
It is clear that you should be checking out as many sportsbooks as possible before locking in a bet so you can get the best potential return on your wager. Our futures page does the hard work for you by pulling over 35 sportsbooks’ futures odds into one easy-to-use, screen so you can quickly line shop and find the best line for your futures bet.
Identifying positive EV futures opportunities is a great way to maximize your potential return by gaining an edge on the implied probability of the outcome. Our futures page has a built-in mechanism that provides an estimated fair price for each futures outcome and then provides what the best odds available are for that same play.
What this means is that if sportsbooks are offering a team to win the Super Bowl at +900 but their fair odds are +950, you are losing out on expected value. Those fair odds carry an implied probability of 9.52% whereas the +900 odds have an implied probability of 10% showing the book believes it’s more likely to happen than the fair / devigged odds suggest.
Take this example above and if there was a sportsbook offering that same market with +1050 odds, now we have a positive EV opportunity. Our fair odds would suggest an implied probability of 9.52% whereas the +1050 odds carry an implied probability of 8.70%. Using our expected value calculator a bet at +1050 when the estimated fair odds are +950 carries a positive EV of 9.52%.
Another great aspect of our futures tool is the built-in arbitrage finder. Arbitrage opportunities arise when two sides of the same market combine for less than 100% implied probability lock in a theoretical profit when both wagers are accepted and settled under matching rules.
Take for example, a large arb opportunity when a sportsbook is offering a longshot MVP candidate to win at +7500 odds whereas another book offers the No option at -425. Our odds converter shows the +7500 odds have an implied probability of 1.32% and the -425 an 80.95% implied probability – a combined implied probability of 82.27%, a great arb opportunity.
We can then use our Arbitrage calculator to determine our stake sizes to lock in the profit. If you wagered $2 on the +7500 the payout would be $152.00 and $123.05 on the -425 the payout would also be $152.00. Both payouts are the same while your combined stake for the Yes and No options would be $125.05, locking in a guaranteed profit of $26.95 should your bets be accepted and graded equally. Luckily, our Arb button our futures tool builds in all the calculations for you, all you have to do is input your comfortable unit size.
