National Championship +EV Opportunities Week 6: Value on 'Bama & Texas
No. 5 Ohio State is the betting favorite to with the National Championship. Many books have the Buckeyes priced around +420, though there is value at Circa with +500 odds.

Get StartedOhio State faced its first ranked team last week in No. 14 Iowa since its narrow 24-23 loss to then-No. 4 Texas in Week 2. The Buckeyes handled business against the Hawkeyes to the tune of a 31-14 victory with Heisman favorite Jeremiah Smith going off for another 200-yard performance.
OSU will have another get-right game this week against Maryland before three straight games against ranked opponents, two of which on the road. You might get the Buckeyes at a better number next week as they head to Indiana but at the time of this writing there’s $211 of liquidity at Polymarket for Ohio State.
Best +EV National Championship Opportunities
Despite a win over the betting favorite Ohio State Buckeyes and sitting No. 1 in the AP Poll top-25, there still remains quite a bit of value in the market for Texas.
The Longhorns have two ranked wins under their big belt buckles, though by a combined four points and have a daunting schedule ahead with five straight ranked games beginning on October 17.
That said, our fair value calculated odds has Texas at +563 and FanDuel has it priced at +700, while BallyBet is offering +725 odds. Should the Longhorns navigate their way through that tough stretch heading toward an SEC championship game, there’s no way you will find value longer than +500.
Alabama +55.7% EV Ahead Of Georgia Game
All eyes will be on the SEC this Saturday night when Georgia visits Tuscaloosa to take on No. 6 Alabama. Bettors should also be paying attention as there is likely to be a lot of value on the other side of it. For me, this is likely the best time you’re going to get Alabama this season.
Many books still have ‘Bama priced with +1000 odds or longer, including DraftKings holding +1150 odds and BallyBet at +1200. Yet, the Tide are narrow 1.5-point favorites this weekend to No. 2 Georgia and should they win, and perhaps decisively, a public team like Alabama will have odds around +700 to +800 which would be great CLV to the +1200 you can get now.
